Internationally renowned as an opera and concert conductor, Harry Bicket is noted particularly for his interpretation of baroque and classical repertoire. In 2007 he was appointed Artistic Director of The English Concert, which ranks among the finest chamber orchestras in the world. In 2013 he also became Chief Conductor of Sante Fe Opera, opening the following season with a critically acclaimed production of Beethoven's Fidelio.

From New York to Los Angeles, Hong Kong to Stockholm, Harry is no stranger to the world's great orchestras and opera houses as a conductor and a harpsichordist.  Following his celebrated production of Handel's Rodelinda with Renée Fleming and David Daniels in 2004, he is a regular guest conductor at New York's Metropolitan Opera. His current season includes performances at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Cleveland Orchestra, and extensive touring with The English Concert to other venues in the United States, Asia, and throughout Europe.
